Vietnamese PM: PM Hun Manet Will Achieve Cambodia’s Economic Goals

HANOI: Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that Prime Minister Hun Manet’s visit strengthens Cambodia-Vietnam bilateral relations in the spirit of good neighborliness, friendship and tradition for long-term stability.

during a bilateral meeting on December 11, the Vietnamese Prime Minister welcomed his Cambodian counterpart and congratulated him on his new position as Vice President of the Cambodian People’s Party. He expressed confidence that Cambodia will reach its 2030 and 2050 economic goals under the leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet.

Prime Minister Hun Manet thanked PM Pham Minh Chinh for the warm welcome and the opportunity to hold a bilateral meeting.

The two leaders briefed each other on their countries’ political, social and economic situations and agreed to set a path towards strengthening and expanding bilateral cooperation for the benefit of both nations and their people in the fields of politics, trade, investment, tourism, health , education, national defense, security and border demarcation.

The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and global affairs, expressing satisfaction over mutual support in international forums such as the United Nations, ASEAN and the Mekong Subregion.
